On April 26th 2014, we will be taking part in a round table at the University of Leicester. The event is organised by HistoryLabPlus, a network that supports early career historians (ECHs) and independent researchers by providing access to training and networking opportunities.
This FREE workshop will address the issues of impact and engagement, bringing together historians, archaeologists, archivists and consultants who have engaged with the media in the heritage and history sectors. The event will provide top tips from professionals who will highlight the promises and pitfalls that history, heritage and the media can bring.
Participants include: Vince Holyoak (English Heritage) Chris Bowles (Scottish Borders Council), Lucy Moore (Leeds Museum & Galleries), Daryl Leeworthy (University of Huddersfield), Conny Bailey (University of Leicester), Malcolm Noble (University of Leicester), Ellie Pridgeon (Consultant Archivist Ltd / University of Leicester, Alex Craven (VCH), Jen Novotny (University of Glasgow).
