Clients and projects
I am a professionally qualified archivist and records manager, and have been working in the archives, libraries, and museum sectors since 1998. I have worked at a number of leading UK institutions, including the Science Museum, Wiltshire Museum, the Museum of the Home (formerly Geffrye Museum), St Paul's Cathedral, the Britten-Pears Foundation, and the University of Bristol Library and Special Collections.
Since 2013, I have worked as a consultant on over 80 archive, records management, and evaluation projects (see clients list here). I therefore have a range of skill sets to bring to organisations and individuals seeking archive and records management support.

Sector experience
I am a member of the Archives and Records Association (ARA), the Information and Records Management Society (IRMS), and the Group for Education in Museums. I have undertaken numerous roles at national level, including editor of ARC Magazine for six years. I am currently Freelance Rep for GEM, a trustee of the National Jazz Archive, and a council member of the Church Monuments Society. In 2016 I was elected a fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of London (FSA) for services to archives and academia. I have delivered papers at archives and records management conferences in the UK and globally.

I hold a PhD from the University of Leicester. The NADFAS-funded project focused on using archival material to find evidence for the patronage and iconographical change in English and Welsh medieval wall painting. I teach at the universities of Cambridge, Oxford and Leicester.

Consultant Archivist working practices and associates
The majority of work is carried out by myself. However, due to the large-scale nature of some projects, we do also work with associates. All associates are professionally qualified archivists, records managers, or museum professionals.
