Judy Vaknin, Former Archivist and Records Manager, 14-18 NOW, Imperial War Museum

"Ellie has been managing the records management and archiving project for 14-18 NOW at the Imperial War Museum (IWM) since 2017. She has ensured that the documentation of the project has been carried out effectively by formulating records management strategies and introducing systems and procedures, backed up by effective training for 14-18 NOW staff.

Ellie has also co-ordinated the challenging digital archiving project which involved the establishment of complex technological processes in order to ensure the long-term preservation of the archival records that were to be handed over to IWM, including project evaluation. She is very good at planning and working to schedules, at liaising with staff at all levels, and at problem-solving. She also provides sound and practical guidance. Ellie is a very experienced project manager and evaluator, and I would recommend her highly."

Mac Quinton, Trustee, Gibberd Garden Trust

"Dr Pridgeon carried out an extensive survey of Sir Frederick’s archive collection which consists of a complete mixture of items including, building plans, sketches and designs, sketchbooks, drawings of the garden and house, maps, reports, draft lectures, general correspondence, publicity for Harlow New Town, boxes of slides and binders of photographs.  All stored on wooden bookcases and shelves, in metal filing cabinets, metal plan chests, wooden cupboards, and wooden chests and in folders, banker’s boxes, and loose on shelves.

Our volunteer archivists were very pleased with and enjoyed the detail discussions they had with Dr Pridgeon regarding the Archives. A detailed Report was prepared providing valuable information, advice and recommendations to the Trust on the way forward to complete the cataloguing and digitisation of the Archive. The Trust was extremely pleased and grateful for her report and would have no hesitation in recommending her for any similar task."
